Furniture Care

The Chair King® is proud to have you as our customer, and we want you to get the full enjoyment of the beauty and long life expected from your new furniture purchase.  We have provided some basic maintenance and care instructions so you can get the most from your investment.

A good tip for ALL OUTDOOR FURNITURE: cover with commercially available furniture covers when not in use.

ALUMINUM MAINTENANCE: clean frames with mild soap and warm water, then rinse thorughly. Touch up any scratched or exposed metal surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

CAST ALUMINUM MAINTENANCE: clean frames with mild soap and warm water, then rinse thorughly. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

TEAK MAINTENANCE: clean frames with mild soap and warm water, then rinse thorughly. Do not use abrasive cleaners.  Ask for a copy of Teak Garden Classic's Care of Teak Furniture brochure on retoring and preserving your fine Teak furniture.

RESIN WICKER CARE: dust with a soft brush. Clean with mild soap and warm water, then rinse thoroughly.

CUSHIONS AND SLINGS: wiping up minor spills immediately with mild soap and warm water, using a soft cloth.  Although these fabrics have been treated to resist stains, it may become necessary over time to use commercially available cleaners, always follow the manufacturer's instructions.  Cushions and slings are best maintained by covering with a commercially available furniture cover when not in use, especially in an area with birds and trees nearby.

GLASS TABLE TOPS: use mild soap and water or commercially available glass cleaners.  Do not use cleasers or abrasive materials.

STONE TABLE TOPS: your stone table top has been sealed, but still needs regular care.  Clean the tabletoop with a soft, clean, colorfast cloth or sponge using warm water and mild dish soap.  NEVER use scouring creams or abrasive cleaners that may scratch the sealed finish.  Any accidental spills should be cleaned immediately.  Wipe with a damp cloth.  Maintain the protective sealer by resealing at least once a season, or after you have had to clean a spill.

SUNBRELLA SLING MAINTENANCE: clean with mild soap and warm water, then rinse thoroughly.  Do not use abrasive cleaners.

SUNBRELLA CUSHION MAINTENANCE: clean with mild soap and warm water, then rinse thoroughly.  Do not use abrasive cleaners.

POLYESTER CUSHION MAINTENANCE: clean with mild soap and warm water, then rinse thoroughly.  Do not use abrasive cleaners.

PVC SLING MAINTENANCE: clean with mild soap and warm water, then rinse thoroughly.  Do not use abrasive cleaners.
